According to press reports, the State is planning to create certain mechanisms that could ban credit card transactions to internet betting companies, as well as to restrict their advertizing.  Such a development would be positive for OPAP as there are many internet gaming firms with a considerable market share active in Greece. However it is uncertain whether such a rule would be in accordance to the European regulations.
